The terrarium is capacity for keeping of animals — insects, reptiles, amphibians and other invertebrates. It is necessary to equip a terrarium taking into account features of the native habitat of his resident.

Instruction
1. Choose a terrarium for your animal. It is desirable that its walls were made of glass. Consider that horizontal terrariums are suitable for the animals living on open spaces, and vertical — for living on trees, slopes of mountains. The size of a terrarium has to be in 3-5 times more of the size of his resident.
2. Prepare soil. The covering of a floor of a terrarium has to make about 10 cm. The fine river sand mixed with stones and pieces of the earth is suitable for inhabitants of the tropical or dry countries better. For the animals preferring a humid frigid climate lay a floor peat or the forest soil, sawdust, straw.
3. Take care of illumination of a terrarium. On a cover over a front wall place the sofitny or neon lamp. It is also possible to use ultra-violet and infrared lamps. Do not forget to change an ultra-violet lamp of times a year. In pet-shop it is possible to get a special lamp for reptiles.
4. You watch temperature in a terrarium. Periodically disconnect lamps not to overheat the pet. For thermophilic animals it is necessary to take care of additional heating of a floor. It can be carried out by means of a mat with electric heating, a heating payment or that is the most preferable, a heating cable. In summertime expose a terrarium in the sun.
5. Pay attention to humidity of air in a terrarium. Every evening sprinkle soil and leaves of plants water from the small spray. The humidity of air has to be about 70-90%. Equip a terrarium with the thermometer and a hydrometer.
6. Decorate a terrarium with large stones of various form, pieces of trees, bark, branches, boughs. Build from a tree or plaster minks, terraces, bridges, lodges for animals. Place small pots with unpretentious plants. Establish in a terrarium a feeding trough for its inhabitants, the container with water.
