Carelessly picked up diet can do irreparable harm to health of the little fluffy pet. Therefore to feed decorative rabbits, it is necessary carefully selecting products and monitoring receipt in its organism of the balanced quantity of necessary minerals and vitamins.
Instruction
1. Beforehand take care of a sufficient reserve of hay for a rabbit. Buy in the market, or independently mow down herbs and slightly dry it. During the summer period add to composition of hay a zvezdchatka, a yarrow and a cow-parsnip. Upon purchase take an interest whether the mowed grass at the road grew, and whether the site was processed by chemical fertilizers which can do much harm to a rodent.
2. Offer the fluffy pet the prepared hay. It is possible to do it in unlimited number at all seasons of the year. Hay – the main source of food for rabbits.
3. Provide constant availability of fresh water in a bowl for drink. The rabbit needs a large amount of liquid for the correct functioning of digestive system. Especially a lot of water is required to the feeding doe-rabbit. During the summer period when the rabbit eats a green juicy grass, it is possible to reduce an amount of water a little.
4. Suggest a rabbit to gnaw pieces of the raw cleaned vegetables – carrots, beet, cucumbers, etc. These products can also provide a small amount of liquid.
5. Take an interest in existence in sale of special dry feeds for rabbits. They contain amount of vitamins, necessary for life support of the fluffy pet, and minerals.
6. Offer a rabbit as delicacy a small amount of a dry feed. Remember that it is not recommended to feed decorative rabbits only with a dry feed as they are herbivores. At large volumes of the given forage the rabbit can refuse hay absolutely. Besides abuse of a forage can lead to obesity of a rabbit that will negatively affect his health.
7. For prevention of obesity and problems with digestive system of rabbits also exclude muesli, nuts and dried fruits from their diet. These products are harmful to rabbits.
