1. The oldest means of heating of water is the reflector. It can be made in the form of a tin semi-cylinder. At a face fix a cartridge with the electric glow lamp. The lamp has to be in a reflector. Suspend the device to a face part of an aquarium so that the top edge of a reflector was below water level. It is necessary in order that glass heated up evenly and did not burst. This method suits both for heating, and for illumination of small rectangular aquariums with a capacity no more than 30 l.
2. Ship the glow lamp directly in aquarium water. At the same time it fix a cartridge on a cover in a special opening that in water there was only a cylinder. Water should not concern the boss. Efficiency of such system is much higher, than at a reflector. Power of this heating device is equal to lamp power. But at such method the flask grows with seaweed.
3. The most perfect method is heating by means of the special heater. It is possible to get it in pet-shop. This heater is a long test tube in which the electric spiral is placed. The test tube is filled up with fine dry quartz sand. Hermetically closed conclusions of a spiral are in its top part. Such heater turns on in network by means of a cord.
4. Heaters can be different in height and power. Pick up such that at immersion in an aquarium the top part with conclusions of wires was above water level not less than on 2 cm. At the same time the lower end should not rest against a bottom. For maintenance of necessary temperature it is possible to adhere to a ratio of 10 l - 10 W.
5. Fix the heater in an aquarium by means of rubber suckers and plastic rings. If it is not possible to find them, it is possible to use a metal wire as fastening. Such fastening has to be above water level.
6. Along with the heater use a temperature regulator. They are also on sale in pet-shops. Control water temperature in an aquarium on the thermometer shipped in it.
7. For uniform heating of an aquarium provide water circulation - install any filter. It is possible to arrange aeration by means of the compressor.
