It is considered to be that almost all venomous snakes, but actually from 2200 species of these reptiles only 270 possess poison. Some are not really dangerous and can cause only small poisoning, others in several minutes are capable to kill the person.
Black mamba
The well-known black mamba – one of the most venomous snakes on the planet. She lives in Africa, this large, to three meters in length a reptile with rather dirty olive or gray coloring. Poison of this being contains high-speed toxins of several types, including dendrotoksina, kaltsiseptina and neytotoksina. One sting of a snake leads to the fact that more than 100 milligrams of poison (sometimes up to 400 get into a human body!), and the lethal dose at the same time makes only about ten milligrams. If not to enter immediately antidote, then death is inevitable – is not recorded any case of survival. As a rule, the person dies within an hour if he was bitten for a heel, and the sting in the face is even more dangerous – because of paralysis death comes in ten minutes.
The black mamba is not simply poisonous, but also is aggressive: the snake often attacks the first that she increases its danger. She does not wait in an ambush as she many other reptiles, and pursues the victim, including can chase the person. The snake can brag with a high speed up to 20 kilometers per hour.
Taypana
Genus of snakes under the name of a taypana are extremely poisonous too. Stings of these snakes cause breath paralysis thanks to action of neurotoxins, and other substances as a part of poison break blood clotting of the person. The person dies of a sting of a taypan longer, than after the meeting with a black mamba – about four-five hours, in certain cases to twelve (if, of course, not to enter serum). One of representatives of a sort of taypan – a cruel snake – is considered the most poisonous of toxic agents, overland because of high concentration, in its poison. The amount of the poison injected into a human body at one sting is enough for murder of hundred people. But, unlike other types of taypan, this not so aggressive snake – bites only if it is careless to treat her. Ordinary Taipang, with less strong poison, is considered more dangerous as has high speed, the large sizes and aggressive character.
Malayan kright
Malayan kright from a sort of kright has not such strong poison as taypana or a black mamba, but it is dangerous because antidote against it does not exist. Serum does not affect poison of these snakes therefore the person after a sting surely dies – on average in 6-12 hours. Neurotoxins instantly affect a brain of the person and cause paralysis, but sometimes death comes also without paralytic symptoms. Fortunately, it is a night species of snakes therefore not really there is a lot of cases of stings.
