Rage forms
Rage can proceed in two forms – violent and silent. The main difference consists in the first symptoms of a disease. To distinguish them and it is correct to classify, as a rule, it is possible not at once. Usually changes of behavior of a dog happen in several days after infection with a virus, but sometimes signs appear only in several months. Any deviation of behavior of a dog from the usual mode - the first signal for carrying out inspection.
Besides the main forms of rage there is also a separate kind of a disease – an atypical form. In this case it is very difficult to distinguish infection. The first signs of the desease remind disorder of intestines, poisoning or gastritis more. At a dog the vomiting, a diarrhea begins, temperature increases.
Symptoms of a violent form of rage
The violent form of rage is shown by three stages. The first symptom to which it is necessary to pay attention - unwillingness to communicate with any living beings and lack of interest in them. The dog begins to avoid any contact with the world around, hides in secluded places, does not respond on a nickname and refuses food. But during contact with the owner the animal can whine and show excessive caress.
The aspiration to a privacy gradually is replaced by aggression. It is the second stage of a violent form of rage. The dog begins to be irritated on surrounding objects, spitefully behaves in relation to the owner and is nervous without the special reasons. At such moments the animals, as a rule, begin to bite. And the grasping reflex at them arises not only concerning people or animal, but also inanimate objects.
The third stage of a violent form of rage is especially dangerous. By this time at a dog the throat paralysis develops. Hoarse bark is added to the general aggression. At the same time the dog begins to howl and rush constantly on everything that surrounds her.
Silent form of rage
At a silent form of rage at the initial stage of development of a disease in a dog the aggression or other changes of behavior does not come to light. The main symptoms allowing to define a disease concern a physical condition of an animal. First of all there is a plentiful salivation, the dog cannot carry out glotatelny reflexes that complicates not only meal, but also waters.
The main changes in behavior of a dog – tired appearance, drowsiness, uncertain gait. At development of a disease there are paralyzes of extremities, jaws and a throat. Besides, the animal is afraid to remain alone, constantly requires attention and makes up to the owner.
Pay attention
Some breeds of dog at infection with rage are especially dangerous. First of all it is dalmatians and bull terriers. It is impossible to cure them, and during a disease they show a special form of aggression.
It is possible to be infected with rage by a sick dog not only through a sting, but also at hit of her saliva on the slightest scratches or grazes.
