Instruction
1. Sort upholstered furniture on the making elements. Remove all removable pillows if they are. Remove sliding elements at the displayed sofas. Unscrew armrests. In the presence of constructive opportunity remove back from framework.
2. Examine places of fastening of old upholstery fabric with framework. There where furniture carnations are visible, pick up them the screw-driver and remove with flat-nose pliers. Carefully you podporit material on seams so that it could be removed, without having damaged form.
3. Make patterns on the basis of old upholstery. Spread on floor or on table tracing-paper, piece of old wall-paper or big newspaper leaf. Apply fabric and circle it with pencil. Make allowances for seams and on podgib where it is necessary. Calculate on patterns what amount of fabric you need to gain in shop.
4. If you have experience in sewing business, can safely select fabrics with various drawings. The upholstery will look harmoniously, only at exact joining of material. And it means that you need to arrange correctly fabric on pattern and to consider its additional expense. When using monophonic fabric there are no such problems. For "revival" of upholstered furniture it is possible to use fabric of different color for armrests and for back with seat.
5. Cut out on paper patterns material for covering and soft substrate which can be made of thick batting or of the sintepon put several times. That new upholstery fabric longer to you has served, make still additional substrate between soft stuffing and external material of canvas.
6. Sew parts from upholstery fabric on patterns.
7. Fix soft substrate on old basis by means of double-sided adhesive tape. Then pull the sewed parts from fabric. Properly straighten and, having turned in edges, attach brackets from the furniture stapler to timber frame construction. Collect the updated furniture.
