Be not guided only by the end result, such "dormant periods" are very necessary to your child: its harmonious development depends on them.
4. Consider each feature of development of the kid in the context of your family circumstances. Moving, the birth of the younger brother or little sister, a disease, a divorce of parents, other unusual situation can promote delay advance forward, even "kickback" back for some time is possible. In such situation estimate development of the child in general, paying attention to all its areas – emotional, sensual, intellectual, and not just to a rhythm. The emotional harmony is necessary to the child at all not less, than intellectual coefficient (IQ) to grow comprehensively developed personality and to achieve success in further life. Happy with himself, the sociable, surrounded with friends and having sense of humour child "starts" in life also well, as well as the kid able to read from 5 years. If your child prefers not to write or count up to school, and to play, then it does not mean that he has less chances of school success.
5. Development of each child is very individual, all standards represent only an approximate reference point for the loving parents. Pay attention to them if necessary to help the kid to master important stages. Anyway, parents are too subjective in assessment of abilities of the child therefore if there are doubts, share them with the psychologist or the doctor who will be able to advise whether there are close attention "gaps" found by you.
