As in the Opera to block advertizing

As in the Opera to block advertizing

Often many users of the Opera browser suffer with different pop-up windows, banners and other "Internet garbage". However the few know that it is possible to cope with this problem with ease, even without resorting to installation of additional third-party software.

Instruction

1. This problem can be solved quite simply. To configure the advertizing disabler, you should download the special file with settings of the browser (urlfilter.ini) and save it in the folder of the Opera profile. To learn where there is this folder, enter the following into an address bar: opera: about. Find in the appeared window "Opera Folder". Pass on C:\Documents and Settings\Администратор\Application Data\Opera\Opera and copy in the "profile" urlfilter.ini folder. After this procedure reboot the browser. Now all pop-up banners will be automatically blocked.

2. If suddenly there is any banner which after all broke via the filter, you need to right-click in any blank space of the page and to find in the appeared context menu "Block contents …". Then click on a banner which you do not want to see more, and select "Save". Then the annoying banner will disappear. If in handover time of a banner something superfluous is blocked, then stop work of unnecessary advertizing, holding at the same time the SHIFT key. Further click the left mouse button and save changes. After it refresh the page.

3. It is also necessary to consider that the urlfilter.ini file can accidentally block something superfluous. If after installation of filters you cannot visit any website or its separate page, look whether it is entered in the list of blocked. If it is there, then erase a line with the address of such website. Then save changes and reboot the browser. To check whether filters were installed, come into the Opera menu. There find the Setup point. Further pass on the following path: "Expanded" – "Contents" – "The blocked contents".
