1. It is possible to define time on the server indirectly. For this purpose enter any forum located on it and send the trial private message to yourself. Right after its sending verify time specified on the page with current. Because of delays the accuracy will turn out low.
2. If you are the server administrator, include on it the mode allowing to be connected under the SSH protocol (secure shell). Set the difficult login and the password. Do not use the unprotected Telnet protocol instead of SSH. It is the best of all to configure the server so that it was possible to be connected to it only from within a local area network. The way of implementation of such setup depends on what on the server is installed by OS.
3. To learn date and time on the server, be connected to it under the SSH protocol, using any client of this protocol. Such clients are created both for computers with different OS, and for smartphones on Android, Symbian, Bada, iOS, Windows Phone 7, and even phones on the J2ME platform. If the server works running the Linux or BSD operating system, enter the date command - data on date and time at the same time will be displayed. In Windows the date command displays only date, and time - only time. They allow to set the corresponding parameters.
4. The server working running Linux or BSD in the presence of a ntpdate package it is possible to force to synchronize automatically time with the NTP server. The last obtains information on the exact time from the atomic clock (local or installed on the navigation satellite). Select such NTP server on which the time zone matches that which is installed on your server. Then enter a command: ntpdate ntp.server.domain, where ntp.server.domain - a domain name of the NTP server. Do not repeat the addresses to him more often than once in four seconds, differently you will be automatically banned to the IP address.
