Instruction
1. To begin testing of speed of connection to the Internet, it is necessary to close first of all all programs using the corresponding connection – torrents, download managers, TV and radio programs, e-mail clients (like Thunderbird), programs for instant messaging.
2. Open the browser installed on your computer. Speed of connection to the Internet for the specific computer is measured by special web services, that is the programs located on the websites. Open any search portal and enter into a search string of the word speed test. As a result on the page the list of the websites allowing to measure the speed of the Internet will be displayed.
3. Visit the selected website and click "Measure Speed" or its analogs. It is not necessary to execute other actions – as a rule, web services for measurement of speed of connection are completely automated. Consider that for obtaining exact information on connection it is better to carry out the test of speed on several resources.
4. On a qualitative resource the check of speed of connection determines the entering speed, outgoing speed, time of test and a graphic informer. The last is often shown in the form of the pivot table or the diagram which can be downloaded for further use.
5. It must be kept in mind that the speed of connection to the Internet changes depending on a set of factors: type of the communication line, provider, number of visitors at the moment and others. If the speed received in test result deviates stated by provider on value, big to ten percent, repeat the test after a while.
