When using the special equipment it is possible to connect a large number of devices to the Internet, having signed only one contract with provider. Unfortunately, in some situations it is necessary to install and configure several network devices at once.

- - router.
Instruction
1. If you need to connect a large number of computers to the uniform line, then use a combination of the router and network hub. If all ports Ethernet (LAN) are engaged in the configured router, and you need to connect some more devices, then buy the hub (switch) and connect it to other network device.
2. For this purpose disconnect one computer from the router. Connect the network cable to the freed LAN port. Connect other its end to the necessary channel of the hub. If you use a switch with not configured ports, then use any available channel LAN.
3. Connect all necessary computers to the network hub. Now start setup of operation parameters of new devices. Unlike the router, the switch does not possess functions of distribution of the IP addresses and synchronization of operation of networked PCs. If you use the DHCP function in the router, then make sure that at computers the Receive the IP Address Automatically parameter is included.
4. If you prefer to use the static IP addresses, then set their values for each networked PC. Since all of them belong to a single local area network, it is more reasonable to use similar IP, for example, 131.131.131. X.
5. If you need to increase the number of connections during the work with the one-port DSL modem, then use the additional router. Connect by means of the network cable Ethernet port of the modem to a WAN link (Internet) of the router. Configure properly the second device and connect to it computers. This method is also applicable when you need to connect mobile computers to the Internet, having the DSL modem and Wi-Fi the router.
