The tea mushroom appeared in Russia at the beginning of the XX century and became widespread in the 80th years. Presently it is unfairly forgotten and meets rather seldom in spite of the fact that the drink received with its help has valuable treatment-and-prophylactic properties.

1. A tea mushroom – culture quite strange by sight. The top part its dense and brilliant, and lower is similar to a congestion of the hanging-down threads. In the biological plan it represents symbiosis of a barmy fungus and acetic bacteria. Most often for the maintenance of a tea mushroom use glass 3-liter jars. Don't apply to this purpose metal ware and tanks from polyvinylchloride or polystyrene at all.

5. For preparation of tea solution use only previously boiled and cooled down water. It is impossible to place a mushroom in water with badly dissolved sugar or just to fill up it from above. It causes burns on his body.
6. The tea mushroom needs to be washed out periodically, it is the best of all in spring water. In the summer it needs to be done through 1 – 2, and in the winter in 3 – 4 weeks.
7. Grib can ache and die if tea solution too long doesn't change. If on the top layer the brown scurf appeared, well wash out a mushroom, remove its top layer and place in fresh tea solution.
8. If the tea mushroom for any reason was left without your leaving and attention (for example, during long departure), water from it evaporated, and it dried, you don't hurry to throw out it. The mushroom will recover if to fill in it with fresh tea solution
9. What to do if you decided some time not to use a tea mushroom, but you want to keep it? Remove a part of a mushroom. Deliver to bank in the fridge. Wash a mushroom with cool water more often. At low temperatures its activity considerably decreases.
