To receive good harvests of vegetables and berries from personal plot, it is necessary to arrange beds correctly. They have to be located from the North on the South – such situation allows the sun to light landings evenly. If there is no opportunity to make so, place from the West on the East, and on inclined sites – across slope, peculiar "balconies" or "terraces".

1. Solve, where exactly on your site the kitchen garden will be placed. Ideally allocate under it the flat site with the morning and day sun. By all means make the plan. It is possible to make it or by means of the ruled paper where strictly certain area, or in one of the programs intended for architectural design on the computer is accepted to each section. The second option is more preferable since allows to make more detailed plan and to consider features of the area: slopes, flood gullies, trees.
2. Move the plan to the site. By means of pegs plan future beds, having made them, whenever possible, identical size, for example, 4 m long and 0.5 m wide. Such approach considerably facilitates care for vegetable cultures. In particular, does not demand every time to count anew norm of introduction of organic fertilizers and also – facilitates access to average number of landings (when using three rows). Do not forget to leave the space for passes. If have got used to weed, sitting on small bench, provide that she got up in row-spacing. You use the cart or wheelbarrow for delivery of fertilizers – wheels should not touch landings.
3. Make high beds crests if you have clay soils, and there are underground waters in the spring. Having ennobled landings over site level, you protect the root system of plants from rotting. For the device of such beds hammer together curb 30-40 cm high. Remove the top fertile soil layer, put aside. Fill instead of it layer of vegetable garbage – bark or sawdust of foliferous trees, mowed annual weeds, etc. Avoid only hit of roots of perennials – goutweeds, nettles, other grass which then it will be extremely difficult to get off.
