How to arrange the sewerage at the dacha

If you come to the dacha for a short time and only during summer time, absence on it household conveniences is not able to reduce pleasure from outdoor recreation a little seriously. But if you live in the country long, not only in the summer, but also in the winter, arrangement by its all engineering systems becomes necessity.

It is required to you

  • - sewage plastic pipes and fitting;
  • - set of construction tools;
  • - timber (eaves board, bar);
  • - cement;
  • - bituminous mastic;
  • - mineral wool;
  • - gravel and sand.

Instruction

1. Make the drawing (scheme) of the sewerage. Think over and display arrangement of all its elements on the scheme: return pipes, strut, discharge pipe, septic tank, system of underground filtration. The drawing has to display the detailed scheme of connection of all pipelines, parameters of the used pipes and fitting, distance between components. On the basis of the drawing make the specification containing the list of all materials and spare parts necessary for you.

2. As basic data accept the following parameters of the sewerage. The strut and the discharge pipe going from it to septic tank have to have pass not less Du – 100. The distance from the house to septic tank has to be not less than 5 meters. The volume of septic tank is calculated by formula: V = n*0.2*3, where: V – septic tank volume in m³; n – the number of the people living in the house; 0.2 - the amount of water spent by one person a day in m³; 3 – time in day.

3. If you have got ready septic tank, carry out its installation according to the enclosed instruction. If have decided to make it independently, perform work in the following order. Dig rectangular hole at distance of 5 meters from the house. Depth of hole is defined by soil frost depth. Usually it is accepted in the range from 1.5 to 2.5 m. Calculate the hole sizes in the plan, proceeding from the volume of septic tank, its depth and thickness of wall (about 200 mm). It must be kept in mind that the more septic tank volume, the less often it is necessary to empty it. If you assume to do it by means of the cesspool machine, provide possibility of its entrance to septic tank.

4. Establish timbering. Its design has to provide the bringing and taking away openings in walls of septic tank and the partition separating it into two cameras – reception (for firm fractions) of 0.75 from the volume of all septic tank and the camera for liquid fraction. Height of partition has to be about a half of height of septic tank, it is desirable to equip its top with grid, not allowing firm fraction to move to the second camera. Edges of septic tank have to tower above the ground on 150-200 mm.

5. Install in timbering fittings and mortgages for fastening of brackets of the cover established over septic tank. Prepare concrete mix with approximate ratio 1: 2: 4 (cement: sand: crushed stone) also fill in it in timbering. After hardening of solution remove timbering and concrete septic tank bottom. If the level of underground water is high, miss the mark septic tank outside with bituminous pitch – for waterproofing.

6. Establish the outlet pipe connecting strut to septic tank. For rational use of volume of the last it is desirable that the water of its bedding was not too deep – no more than 0.5 m from earth surface. Provide to pipe inclination towards septic tank not less than 2 cm by one meter of length, warm it mineral wool. Initial (connected to strut) equip pipe end with the T-coupler which one entrance has to be directed up (for connection with strut), and second (face) – is equipped with audit (the fitting allowing to carry out cleaning of pipe).

7. Collect and establish strut. It represents the precast structure consisting of the main pipe and fitting for connection of toilet bowl and the pipeline in which water from all sanitary devices of the house – sinks, bathtub, shower cabin and so forth is drained. Remove top of strut outside and equip it with protective cap.

8. Connect toilet bowl to strut. Carry out mounting of internal return pipes, reduce them in one head pipe. Connect the last to strut.

9. Arrange the system of underground filtration of waste waters which function includes removal of water from septic tank the trenches filled with gravel or crushed stone.
