1. The distinctive feature of polycarbonate consists in possibility of its forming even in cold state. For example to bend glass, it is necessary to execute heat treatment. Such opportunity to bend polycarbonate sheets is defined by its minimum bend radius. Pay attention that the polycarbonate is thinner, the it is easier to bend its sheets.

2. Learn from the associated documentation what the indicator of the minimum bend radius of the acquired polycarbonate leaf is equal to. So it is possible to bend monolithic polycarbonate with thickness of plate of 4 mm with radius not less, than on 0.6 meters. For frothed PVC with the same thickness the minimum bend radius will be 1 meter, and for PMMA – 1.32 meters. Cellular polycarbonate can be bent only longwise hundreds.

3. To bend polycarbonate, fix its leaf in vice and bend preparation by hands. Polycarbonate has great property – fluidity therefore this material perfectly bends and gets any form conceived for it (in this regard polycarbonate is similar to tin). This material so strong that, being exposed to pressure, it does not break and does not burst, keeping durability and remaining equal.

4. Adopt the fact that polycarbonate fluidity poorly increases with temperature raising: at temperature of +125 degrees the fluidity indicator absolutely not much more differs from the same indicator at the room temperature. So, conclusion arises: there is no sense to heat polycarbonate that to bend it, it also so perfectly bends.
