Choosing the meat grinder, the buyer often is guided only by its exterior. But even in case the name of the producer is considered, the goods not always bought meet expectations. It is correct to choose the meat grinder far not so simply as can seem at first sight.

1. First of all, decide that you want to buy – the good meat grinder or the food processor with function of the meat grinder. It is necessary to know that combines, at all their convenience, have many shortcomings. In particular, producers at combination of different devices should go on compromises that negatively affects quality of work and durability of the combine. For this reason it is better to have the separate meat grinder.
2. Decide on meat grinder power. You should not buy the meat grinder with power less than 1 kW, it will badly cope with the tasks. At the power of 1 kW the meat grinder can overwind about 1 kilogram of meat a minute.
3. Pay attention to of what materials its parts are made. The body can be plastic, there is nothing terrible in it. But internal parts – the screw, knife, grid – have to be metal. Knives of some models are self-sharpening that is very convenient. At least two grids with different diameter of openings have to be included in the package.
4. Check that you under no circumstances could not reach fingers the screw, this main safety requirement. But the loading opening (mouth) should not be at the same time too narrow, otherwise will inconveniently work with the meat grinder. The optimum size is about 5 cm.
5. The meat grinder has to have overload protection. It can be the chain buzzer which is switching-off the device at too high loading or the normal safety lock. On some models do the protective sleeve breaking in case under knife something firm gets and will jam the meat grinder. The sleeve in this case should be changed.
6. Useful function of the meat grinder is the reverse. In case veins were reeled up on shaft, pressing of the button of reverse forces the screw to rotate in the opposite direction. The veins which have appeared in loading opening are removed, the meat grinder turns on in standard duty again.
7. Ask the seller whether additional nozzles and if do not enter whether it is possible to get them separately are included in the package. Additional nozzles will allow to use the meat grinder as the juice extractor, vegetable cutters, graters, shredders, etc.
8. Pay attention addressed to the producer. It is better to buy products of the known companies, such as Bosch, Braun, Kenwood, Moulinex. At right choice the bought meat grinder belief and the truth will serve to you for many years.
