How to calculate current in the transformer

How to calculate current in the transformer

If you have decided to manufacture independently the transformer, then you need to know some things about this device including how to calculate current in the transformer about what the speech will go below.

Instruction

1. Learn if you did not knew before, maximum load current and tension on secondary winding. Increase current of maximum load (in amperes) by coefficient 1.5 – you learn winding of the second transformer (in amperes).

2. Calculate the power spent by the rectifier from secondary winding of the transformer. For this purpose, increase tension of secondary winding by maximum current which passes through it. Count transformer power. To learn power it is necessary to increase the maximum power on secondary winding by 1.25.

3. Calculate tone size on the primary winding. For this purpose the power received in last point should be separated into mains voltage on the primary winding. Calculate parameters of the area of the core of magnetic wire. It is necessary to take transformer power in watts and to increase it by 1.3.

4. Calculate the transformer by that quantity of rounds on the primary winding which you will have. At the same time to learn quantity of rounds on the primary winding, it is necessary to separate tension of the primary winding into core section, and to increase the result then received by 50.

5. Calculate the transformer on number of rounds of secondary winding. Take tension of secondary winding and separate this number into the section of magnetic wire then increase the received result by 55. Establish what section of wires is necessary for winding. For this purpose take the current size which passes through winding, and increase this number by 0.02. It is ready, you now, you have, approximate idea of how to calculate current in the transformer.
