Sometimes there is need to cut out glass of unusual form, for example, round. Unlike the direct cuts made the glass-cutter on ruler, it is more difficult to make figured products. For this purpose there are several ways depending on glass thickness and the sizes of circle.

Instruction
1. One of the simplest options – to take the normal glass-cutter and to make adaptation to mark off equal circle. For this purpose you need to attach sucker in the expected center of finished product, then to tie to it rope, further to measure the necessary length of rope (it has to be equal to the radius of future circle) and to tie to it the glass-cutter. Then carry out by him the circle limited to rope length, and from external border of circle delete the beams glass-cutter to edges of glass preparation. After that accurately break off pincers excess pieces of glass – for this purpose and "beams" are necessary to make everything step by step and accurately.
2. If you need circle of rather small diameter (no more than 30 cm are limit for this way), then it is possible to use tubular drill. It represents metal tube with fastening for drill since one end. Edges of drill absolutely smooth as cutting of glass is carried out only at the expense of abrasive (corundum is usually used) mixed with water. So, take drill with tubular drill, mix abrasive with water, apply on glass at the edges of expected circle and begin to drill. You do not hurry and watch that under drill there was always abrasive with water, otherwise glass can overheat and crack. 3. If you have no glass-cutter and tubular drill, then you can use diamond saw. It represents smooth metal strip on the one side of which there is diamond sputtering instead of teeth. You can periodically water it or lower in the container with water, but it is simpler and more reliable to saw glass in bathtub or in sink under continuous stream of cool water. Process is very long so to be necessary for you patience and accuracy.
4. There is very interesting way of processing of thin glass (2-3rd) by means of ordinary scissors. It can use in case you have no suitable tools, and it is necessary to make glass circle urgently. For example, to replace the broken fragment of glass in small lamp. So, make cliche or apply contour of future circle on glass with waterproof marker. Then submerge glass in water and begin to cut it. Do not try to cut on marks at once – essence of this way that glass should be cut at the edges, biting off small pieces. Gradually the form of preparation will approach necessary. Unfortunately, this way has shortcoming – the circle turns out not absolutely equal, but in emergency situation it is not important.
