Very often in the city it is possible to observe such situation when in the territory of the yard of residential building the site under trash bins is not equipped properly. Meanwhile, there are determined norms for installation of such site.

The garbage is source of unpleasant smell, noxious gases (methane, hydrogen sulfide). For this reason deposits of garbage can affect health of children and adults. The garbage which gathers in containers belongs to municipal solid waste. There is special normative document which regulates rules of installation of containers near residential buildings. This is SanPiN 2.1.2.2645-10 establishing accommodation conditions in residential units. In it the basic rules at installation and operation of garbage cans are accurately described, frequency of garbage removal.
The main requirements at installation of containers under garbage
According to the existing health regulations and norms, the containers installed near residential units have to be emptied and taken out every day. The distance from garbage cans to residential units, places of mass rest, sports grounds has to be not less than 20 meters, but also no more than 100. The size of platforms for tanks has to provide the capacity of all containers. The maximum number of tanks which can be established, - five. Site on which it is going to equip containers have to be made of concrete or asphalt. Besides, it has to have protection in the form of border, and on perimeter to be located green plantings. The protection becomes from three parties on height of 1 - 1.5 meter. For ensuring convenient evacuation of contents from containers it is necessary to organize convenient access roads for the garbage truck. For today in many cities of our country instead of simple containers so-called underground garbage cans are put. Volume is them 5 cubic meters. Depth of underground part of tank is equal 1.7 meters, and land - less than 1 meter. Such constructions I have covers with the automatic valve. Similar containers are more capacious, eco-friendly and convenient. Owing to all aforesaid it is possible to tell that installation of garbage cans – business very simple. But, despite this, rules are not followed. It is difficult to find residential building where the site for refuse collection is kept clean and is daily devastated. Everywhere there are violations. Namely the sanitary condition of the adjacent territory and human health in many respects depends on it.
