1. In order that Hippeastrum has blossomed, it is necessary to put it correctly. For this purpose pick up pot which diameter will be more than diameter of bulb of plant on four centimeters. Capacity height for landing has to be more than its diameter.
2. In pot fill drainage. In this quality it is possible to use medium-sized haydite. For drawing up soil mix take by one part of sand, peat and the cespitose earth. Add two parts of the sheet earth and fill up soil in pot. Over soil fill small layer of the washed-out bank sand.
3. Before landing cut off the long and damaged roots, having powdered cuts with wood charcoal. If you intend to receive the blossoming plant, remove from bulb everything children. Plant plant so that the top half of bulb was over soil level.
4. Having planted bulb, water soil. Further the soil should be humidified, pouring water in pallet.
5. To achieve blossoming of Hippeastrum, in four months before the plant should organize dormant period. To transfer flower to condition of rest, accurately unbend leaves so that they have not broken. When leaves turn yellow, cut off them.
6. Put pot with plant to the room with dry air and with the temperature about ten-twelve degrees. Water plant seldom and small portions so that has not blotted all soil layer.
7. Having sustained Hippeastrum at rest three months, move it to more damp room with air temperature not lower than twenty degrees. It is necessary to water plant to thicket and after the flower arrow appears, it is necessary to feed up once a week Hippeastrum complex fertilizer for flowers.
8. After the plant stops blossoming, cut off peduncle, having left stump about two centimeters high. During active growth two-three times a month feed up Hippeastrum the same complex fertilizer for flowers.
9. Time in two or three years bulb should be replaced in pot, bigger by the size.
