1. Light. Plant gloxinia photophilously therefore it perfectly will suit well lit room. However from direct sunshine it is better to hold gloxinia far away. Light plays huge role in its development. The optimum period of lighting for plant of this type – 12-14 hours. If light will be not enough, then the plant will begin to be extended that will have an adverse effect on quantity of buds. If lighting will be enough, then and the color of flowers will be bright and saturated.
2. Soil. As the good soil for gloxinia serves mix of the peat earth, foliage and sand (1:1:0.5). Important condition – the soil has to be rather friable, with good air circulation. Before landing of plant to the earth, the soil it is desirable to disinfect special medicine which can be bought in the specializing shops.
3. Capacity for cultivation. When choosing pot for landing of gloxinia give preference to wide and superficial ware. Pots with a diameter of 10-15 cm quite will suit you. Material of which flowerpots are made is not so important.
4. Watering. Gloxinias are a little whimsical in this plan. It is necessary to water them only with soft water: rain, the tala filtered or it is necessary to settle tap water of 10-12 hours. The safest method of watering of gloxinia is watering from pallet. Water ingress on leaves are categorically contraindicated for plant of this type. If after watering on pallet there was surplus of water, surely merge it, otherwise there will be rotting of tuber.
