Air humidity is one of characteristics of weather and climate. The indicator significantly influences human body, and therefore is not less important in scales of own apartment.

Instruction
1. If exact indicators of air humidity are not obligatory, try to orient on own health. If air in the room too dry, arises feeling of drowsiness, the fatigue will increase, the condition of absent-mindedness will appear.
2. It is possible to learn air humidity without special devices, it is enough to make experiment. Take small glass or pile, gather cold water and leave in the fridge per day.
3. Move the cooled ware in that room where you would like to learn air humidity. Place it far from batteries, household appliances and observe several minutes the surface of glass.
4. If glass walls have misted over at once, but have quickly dried, so in the room the humidity lowered — air dry. If small narrow streamlets have run, the optimum moisture content of air means indoors if streamlets have spread — air humidity high.
5. To learn air humidity more precisely, special devices are necessary. Such exact parameters are necessary to gardeners at cultivation of seedling in room conditions; are necessary where there are babies; are important in some industrial premises.
6. Take two thermometers. Envelop one of them damp rag, humidify it in process of drying or lower this thermometer in cup with water.
7. Observe indications of devices — values of the wet thermometer will be lower than dry. Further use the special table.
8. Write down or remember indications of both thermometers, count difference, find the received parameters in the table. Designation of relative air humidity will be on crossing of indicators.
9. Buy the special device which is called "psychrometer". Its action is based on indications of two thermometers, and in structure there is full table. There are several types of psychrometers - station, remote and aspiration. Station become stronger in the special meteorological box on support, and the accuracy of indications of such device depends on the speed of air streams in the box.
10. The aspirated psychrometer consists of two thermometers, the table and the fan which provides the constant speed of air flow. Thermometers are fixed in the special frame protecting them from influence of direct sunshine.
11. In the remote psychrometer thermocouples, resistance thermometers, thermistors are used. The device has difficult design and demands constant supply with the distilled water, but is characterized by smaller error.
