1. We prepare materials. Everyone who at least once bought upholstered furniture, thought: "And why not to make it?". Actually, there is nothing especially difficult here. 2. Filler. Remember that, independently making upholstered furniture, you should not save on materials, differently furniture will look cheap. Consider that you and so considerably save, doing furniture by the hands, and you do not stint purchase of beautiful fabric and quality filler. As a rule, as filler for upholstered furniture foam rubber or polyurethane acts. At the same time for each part of furniture they have to be certain thickness: - for seats – 45-48 kg/m3; - for backs – 42 kg/m3; - for mattresses – 30-35 kg/m3; - for armrests – 28 kg/m3.
3. As for the fabric choice just for decoration which you will cut out the hands then everything is not so simple too. First of all, fabric has to be rather strong. Also make sure that non-persistent damages from the fabric chosen by you will be removed most easily. Well and, at last, as you will beat fabric, make sure that on it there will be no holes and "shooters" thereof.
