If you have decided to sew new curtain the hands, choose for fastening to eaves not traditional curtain tape, but eyelets – the latched plastic or metal ringlets. You without effort will be able independently to put eyelets on curtain.
It is required to you
- - eyelets;
- - lyuversny tape or interlining;
- - punch or small scissors;
- - tailor's chalk or pencil;
- - centimeter;
- - iron.
Instruction
1. Buy two width of portyerny fabric that you could drape beautifully new curtain on eyelets. For example, if width of window of 1.5 m, ready curtain has to be twice wider, i.e. 3 m. Process side seams and bottom, well iron.
2. The upper edge, in that place where eyelets will be fixed, glue with lyuversny tape at distance 0.5-1 cm from cut. If you could not acquire the film, use for this purpose strip of interlining 10 cm wide or less (it has to be more than diameter of ringlets). Having pasted interlining or tape by means of the iron, turn off edge on curtain and iron.
3. Separate eyelets into two parts. By means of one half mark places of fastening of eyelets on curtain, circling it with tailor's chalk or pencil on inside diameter. Make calculation that it is necessary to fix eyelets at identical distance (from 12 to 20 cm), and the quantity them on panel has to be even (that both edges of ready portiere have been turned in the same party). At the same time recede on 5 cm from top and side edges of curtain.
4. When places of fastenings are marked, make openings. Do them by the special punch, but also small scissors will approach. Make an incision openings cross-wise, then cut circles on the marked diameter, adding 0.5 cm inside. This allowance becomes that eyelets kept on fabric more densely.
5. Establish the lower half of eyelet under the cut-through opening, from above cover with the second part and fasten parts among themselves. Having done the same operation with all remained openings, hang up ready curtain on eaves.
