There are two ways to protect warmly in houses. Effective, but rather costly — to increase thickness of walls at construction of buildings. More economic — to put up rather thin walls and to apply heater. For this purpose mineral wool is widely used. It effectively keeps heat, does not sustain combustion also is the "breathing" material that provides healthy microclimate in the warmed rooms.
Warming of buildings of minvaty is usually made outside. It allows to keep heat in the thickness of walls. If to warm them from within, it will lead to losses of internal volume of the room, and walls will freeze through outside. Mineral wool is produced in the form of rolls and plates. For front works it is better to stop on the second option — such material has more high density and it is more convenient to work with it.
Surface preparation
Fastening of heater to surface is made by means of glue therefore the wall has to be correctly prepared. It is necessary to clean it from the flaking paint or the showered plaster. Use for this purpose the palette or rigid wire brush. If not to carry out such processing, heater will just fall off together with adhesive layer.
The more exactly the surface of facade, the is simpler to make heater laying. From wall it is necessary to remove all speakers objects — ventilating grates, window otliva, rain water pipes. If on walls there are considerable roughnesses, it is desirable to plaster them. Before gluing of heater of wall it is necessary to progruntovat carefully. It will strengthen surface and will increase adhesion. If on the surface of facade traces of mold or fungus are found, it is necessary to process these places special impregnation.
Installation works
Works on warming need to be begun with installation of socle profile. It is established at the very bottom and acts as basic guide. It fixes the first row of plates of minvata and helps to maintain horizontal level when laying the subsequent ranks. For fastening of plates of heater it is necessary to use special glue. It is issued in the form of dry mix and is packed in paper bags. For work it needs to be filled in with the amount of water specified on packing and to stir the construction mixer. Ready mix is applied on all surface of plate by means of toothed trowel. You should not save glue, applying it pointwise — it can lead to spalling of minvata. Try to avoid gaps between plates — it will lead to heat waste, hit of moisture and destruction of mivata. If you did not manage to lay heater densely, fill the formed slots with the strips of the necessary thickness cut from mineral wool. If you want the layer of heater to serve many years, you need to make its additional strengthening. Use the dish dowels with wide hat which are specially intended for fastening of mineral-cotton mats. Usually they are killed on corners and in the center of plates, previously having punched opening in wall the perforator. The hat needs to be drowned so that she did not support minvata surface then to putty deepening by glue. For giving to the warming layer of additional durability it is reinforced, using grid. It is rolled on the wall and fixed above. The adhesive layer is applied on grid and leveled by trowel. Cloths have to keep within with an overlap, with overlapping in several centimeters — it will prevent emergence of vertical cracks on their borders. Drawing decorative topping coat will be completion phase. Often as finishing layer decorative plaster is applied. It is the practical and rather inexpensive material allowing to use various invoices. Remember that before drawing the finishing layer there has to pass time necessary for glue drying.
