The Google Maps service allows to find the place on the card not only by keywords, but also directly on GPS coordinates. It is convenient if your navigator is not connected to the computer, and it is required to show the map fragment on the big screen.
Instruction
1. Pass to the following website:
http://maps.google.com
2. On the navigator or phone with the built-in navigation receiver find point allowing to display digital values of coordinates longitudeand width( ) in the menu. For example, in offices of Nokia the arrangement of this point can be such: "Applications" - "Arrangement" - "Data of GPS" - "Position". Wait until the device finds a signal from satellites and will calculate coordinates. If it does not occur, and you are in the room, bring the navigator or phone to a window.
3. Enter coordinates in the following format into the search string of Google Maps service:
- aaa.aaaaaaaa, - bbb.bbbbbbbb, where [-] - optional minus (specify it only if it is in the original), aaa.aaaaaaaa - longitude (two or three signs to a point, from five to eight signs after a point), bbb.bbbbbbbb - width (in the same format).
4. Pay attention: the integer and fractional part separate from each other a point, and longitude from width - a comma. Before a point and after it the space should not be, before a comma too, and after a comma the space is necessary. Specify longitude before width. If the navigator has the English-language interface, the word longitude designates longitude, and latitude - width.
5. Press the blue image button of a magnifying glass close to a search string. Instead of it it is possible to click the ENTER key on the keyboard. At the left you will see information on the object located in the point (street, the city, the country) specified by you, and on the right - the map fragment. The object will be designated by the inverted drop of red color with letter A in the middle.
6. If necessary adjust scale screen buttons with plus and minus. To see the satellite picture of the area, switch the card to the Satellite or Hybrid mode. If you do not see anything, reduce scale. The pictures made from the plane are available for some areas. They are more detailed, than satellite.
