Style empire style – one of children of classicism. There was this style during Napoleon Bonaparte's era therefore it velichestven and prazdnichen, its purpose is to show all power of that time.

1. The style is suitable for country houses, the stylized hotels, big apartments, in a word where the imperial scope will be appropriate. The main lines of empire style are the severity and symmetry, luxury and wealth, allusion to the Roman and partially Egyptian culture.
2. During creation of empire interior consider symmetry and the rule of golden ratio. Use columns, stucco molding, pylons and thread. As ornaments it is possible to use the lion's heads, oak branches, rhombuses and ovals. As this style is enough muzhestven, unlike predecessors of classics, use of military subject is appropriate.
3. The empire style is theatrical and indicative style, use expensive fabrics, upholster with them walls, drape windows and door openings. Use of wall-paper and frescos is relevant to walls. Curbstones in the form of pedestals, abundance of thread, availability of such decorative parts as paws and the heads of lions are welcomed. All furniture looks monumentally and rather strictly. This style has generated such pieces of furniture as cabinets for porcelain, three-leaved mirrors, flower stands.
6. Busts, weapon, marbled ware will be suitable for decor of interior. Use bronze floor lamps and candelabrums, carved marble caskets, crystal. Characteristic feature of empire style is the abundance of mirrors therefore pay them attention. Hang up mirrors on walls, put on floor, choose furniture with mirrors. For lighting use magnificent crystal chandeliers.
