What soil is necessary to roses

Except for roses, saline and marshy for cultivation, any soil will approach. However most comfortably the queen of flowers feels in well passing air, friable, fertile substrates.

Preparation of earth mix

To create the ideal soil for cultivation of rose, it is necessary to define substrate type in your garden and to bring missing ingredients.

If the soil is easily scattered in hand, so it treats sandy type. It quickly gets warm, well passes water and air, but contains few nutrients. To make it ideal for flower, it is necessary to add to one its part 2 parts of the cespitose earth, 2 parts of the crushed clay and also by one part of compost and humus.

The loamy soil crumbles, however lumps, being linked together, do not stick together. Such substrate is rich with nutrients, it well passes and keeps heat and water. To prepare mix for the loamy soil, it is necessary to mix 3 parts of sand with taken by one part by the cespitose earth, compost and humus.

If the soil is heavy, gets off in dense lump, badly passes air and water, cracks when drying, but is rich with mineral substances, you deal with clay type. To make such soil suitable for cultivation of roses, it is necessary to add 6 parts of sand to it and also by one part of compost, humus of the cespitose earth. Using instead of humus, the cespitose earth and compost vermikompost (biohumus), you gain stronger effect. The biohumus which is product of processing of organic matters worms well affects structure of the soil. And the microorganisms inhabiting it improve quality of substrate. In biohumus is one third more than humates, than in once popular among gardeners and summer residents rerotting (not less than 2 years) manure.

Acidity and nutritiousness of the soil

For roses the subacidic soil with the level of acidity pH 5.5-6.5 is considered ideal. It is possible to change acidity by means of addition of peat which has the sour pH level. If you have in garden alkaline soil, slightly it is possible to acidify it, having added 2 parts of peat. It is necessary to bring previously pro-limed peat (mixed with lime in number of 100 g on peat bucket) in the sour soil. Earlier surely added mineral fertilizers to earth mix, today gardeners quite manage application of their natural analogs. For example, it is possible to use medicine HB101 in granules. It represents pressing from plants (pine, cypress, plantain, cedar). Such fertilizer possesses the soft balanced action. It warns diseases and stimulates immunity of plant. Besides, HB 101 contains the basic mineral elements – silicon, iron, magnesium, potassium, nitrogen, sodium. About 10 granules brought in landing hole within the first year of life will provide to roses excellent survival.
