1. Natural growth. Boys and girls grow unequally therefore formation of a skeleton comes to an end during various periods of time. On average women grow up to 16–19 years. Active growth of men comes to an end in 18-25 years. As long we grow, depends on many indicators. One of the most significant factors is time of sexual development. The later it began, the longer, as a rule, the person will grow. Respectively at premature sexual development growth at young people can stop a little earlier, than at their peers.
2. Exceptions to the rules. Sometimes after the skeleton of an organism has to be already created, insignificant increase in growth continues. After 20 years at girls and 26 years at men growth can increase to two centimeters.
3. Strong-willed increase. Growth is not size invariable. With age the person, as a rule, loses centimeters. Because of constant load on a backbone the intervertebral disks are squeezed. But it is possible not only to stop process, but also to turn back. You can add to yourself several centimeters special exercises. There is a set of ways to increase growth without operation – extension of a backbone on the exercise machine, visa on a horizontal bar with burdening, pulling of legs. At great desire and persistence it is possible to increase the created growth by 1-6 cm. Some authors of techniques assure that it is possible to increase body length by 20 cm, but these data are scientifically not confirmed. It is worth mentioning that if you stop doing exercises for increase in growth, the centimeters after a while acquired will again be lost.
4. Harmful effects. There are factors which can negatively affect growth period duration. The person can cease to grow prematurely in result of smoking, use of alcoholic and narcotic substances and also when using some drugs.
