Thanks to rapid introduction of informatization in everyday life of the person, at least idea about fundamentals of computer science and numeral systems each school student has. But for many inscriptions in the computer like "1FEE" remain the mysterious code. Very few people represent what is a hexadecimal numeral system and for what it is necessary.

Concept of a hexadecimal numeral system

Numeral system, habitual for the person, – decimal. Its basis includes ten figures from 0 to 9. The hexadecimal system is distinguished by existence in it of the first six letters of the Latin alphabet for record of numbers besides the main figures. In languages of low level, as close as possible to machine codes the hexadecimal system is applied to writing of programs. Many programmers use it and during the work with languages of high level because numbers in this system by means of the special table of correspondences are easily transferred to a binary system on which operation of all digital equipment is based. Any information in the computer, whether it be the musical file or the text document, after broadcasting is submitted by the sequence of the source binary code, and it is more convenient to look through it presented by symbols of a hexadecimal system. Also one of applications of hexadecimal symbols – the description of color schemes, that is three R, G, B components are described in the way corresponding to this system.
