Percent call the one 100-th share from some size and use for comparison of this size with its part measured in such units. Percentage can always be presented in the form of a common fraction and to transfer to decimal fraction in the usual way - for example, by means of the calculator.

Instruction
1. If you have an opportunity to use the computer, involve the calculator which is built in it in calculations. Open the main menu by means of the Start-up button on taskbars or the Win keys on the keyboard. From the keyboard gather also two letters, and then press Enter. It is the easiest way of a call of the calculator, but it is possible to look for the corresponding reference in the main menu - it is placed in the Subsection "Standard" of the section "All Programs".
2. Make in mind a common fraction that the sequence of operations which need to be done with the help of the calculator became clearer. In numerator of this fraction there has to be a value corresponding to hundred percent, increased by number of percent which needs to be calculated and in a denominator deliver to 100. For example, to find 12% of number 24000 fraction have to consist of 24000*12 in numerator and 100 in a denominator. It means that the sequence of operations in the calculator will be such: 24000 * 12/100.
3. Type all signs of the sequence made on the previous step on the keyboard. If there is an opportunity - just copy it (Ctrl + C) and insert into the calculator (Ctrl + V). If you got used to use more a mouse, click by the corresponding buttons with figures and signs in the interface of the program.
4. Press the Enter key or click the button with an equal-sign on the screen. The calculator will display result of calculations.
5. It is possible to exclude division into 100 from the sequence of operations if to involve the button with a % symbol in the interface of the calculator. In this case at first enter the number corresponding to hundred percent - in the example used above it is 24000. Then press a key with an asterisk (sign of multiplication) and enter required number of percent - in an example it is 12. For completion of the procedure click the % button, and the calculator will show 2880. It is possible to copy the result received in any way (Ctrl + C) and to transfer to any application necessary to you - for example, to the text editor.
