How to make morphemic analysis of a word

Morphemic analysis is an analysis of a word on structure. Following operations procedure: at first the termination, a form-building suffix, then a word basis (not to confuse with a root), a prefix, a suffix is allocated and right at the end the root is allocated.

Instruction

1. In grammar there are two approaches to division of a basis of a word – structural and semantic. In fact, approaches are opposite each other. Structural morphemic prefix, suffix and termination. This way often leads to mistakes because of external similarity of different parts of a word. Much more correct is structural approach – from a word at first suffixes, prefixes "are removed" and already at the end allocate a root.

2. A morpheme is the smallest part of a word. Let's consider morphemic analysis on the example of the word "crossing point".

3. The termination of a word form "crossing point" - and. It expresses singular grammar.

4. An unchangeable part of a word - peremychk-. It is also a word basis. The noun "crossing point" is formed from the verb "peremykat" and is motivated by this verb on value. At formation of this word the suffix was used - to-.

5. The verb "peremykat" from which there was a sorted word is formed by a prefix a feather-.

6. A root of the word "crossing point" is the morpheme - mych-. The root - mych-contains the alternating concordant.

7. On the letter the morphemic analysis of a word form "crossing point" would look so: the crossing point (to peremykat). When written morphemic analysis is made, the word-formation chain cleans up in brackets. If analysis is not difficult, then it can be made orally aloud, and in a notebook to record only a word, having allocated the morphemes which are available in it.
