Thanks to the last researches, the Spanish scientists found out that by means of a special diet it is possible to provide additional protection of a bone tissue of the person. It considerably reduces risk of a bone fracture.

Staff of zhironsky hospital Josep Trueta found out that observance of the Mediterranean diet enriched with olive oil, helps to strengthen bones. If to adhere to it within two years, in organism person the concentration of serumal osteocalcine which is responsible for durability of bones increases.

130 people whose age varied from 50 to 80 years participated in an experiment of this research. Participants had either a hypertension, or type 2 diabetes, or other chronic diseases. They were divided into three groups. The first adhered to the Mediterranean diet with big consumption of nuts, the second - with olive oil, and the third group ate the fat-free food.

Before the project took blood on the analysis from all volunteers, and then after two years made repeated on biochemical indicators of glucose, cholesterol of the general, LPVP cholesterol, triglyceride, etc. Results showed that the second group has a concentration of osteocalcine and other markers which participate in formation of a bone tissue it is, 10 times more, than at other participants. From this also the conclusion was drawn on advantage of the Mediterranean diet with consumption of olive oil. Besides, It should be noted that the circulating hormone osteocalcine helps to keep secretion of insulin at patients. This diet positively influences a mental condition of people, helps to facilitate several pancreatitis symptoms, osteoporosis, heart diseases, obesity, cancer tumors warns. During this diet the emphasis on bean, fresh vegetables and fruit, fish, grain and pasta, and of course, olive oil is placed. Meat is desirable to eat not more often than 4 times a month. After meal it is necessary to drink a little wine. In addition it is necessary to lead active lifestyle.
