Diffused light - the term used in many spheres. Everywhere it means nevertheless the same - good lighting, but without the directed light sources.
Concept of diffused light
Diffused light in fact is the reflected light as before dissipating, it was reflected from something. In the evening gradually dying away diffused light of the sun allows to see objects how the sun was behind the horizon. Its beams dissipate in the atmosphere and provide the equal, weak, not having a certain source lighting.
The next world which has neither the direction, nor a source is ideal under the description of diffused light, but in the real world of such light cannot exist. Therefore diffused light call soft, unsharp lighting.
Diffused light is used in lamps night lamps, but there are among them and outdated models with a directional light.
How to use the scattered and reflected light
In premises practically never use a directional light as it creates very sharp shadows, and eyes will be quickly tired of differences of zones of light and shade. If the directed house beam nevertheless is required, it is better to use it in combination with diffused light that there were no sharp contrasts, harmful to sight. Devices of diffused light best of all are suitable for the main, top lighting of the room. This lighting does not harm eyes and most for them it is pleasant. Scattered lighting gives to lamps much bigger advantages, than a directional light. The softest and comfortable for eyes in premises where it is not necessary to be busied - lamps of the reflected light. Beams from such lamp are directed to a ceiling or walls which reflect light. There is it only if the surface is painted in light tone as dark light does not reflect, and absorbs. Such lamps in the rooms which are laid out by a tile and having a set of other reflecting surfaces are especially good.
Diffused light in other spheres
In the photo diffused light is used at subject shooting. It muffles shadows and does an object it is better visible. To achieve diffused light, before flash or a lamp place a tracing-paper, white paper, fine white fabric.
To create to a plant diffused light, it is enough to cover of it from the sun at a window with the sheet of white paper. If lighting is not enough, try to obtain diffused light when using fluorescent lamps.
There are house plants which need good lighting, but at the same time are ill from the direct sun as it burns their gentle leaves. For such flowers diffused light is necessary, and they are pritenyat, protecting white paper or fabric.
