Who such Salafis?

Who such Salafis – such question by all means will arise at any who heard this word, but did not penetrate into its sense. To understand whom in fact are adherents of the religious direction of Salafism whether they represent real threat and what differ from other Muslims in, it will be useful for everyone who is interested in the provision of forces on the world scene.

What is Salafism and who such Salafis?

The direction in itself a salafiya belongs to the Islamic doctrine not of radical, but rather educational sense. In any case, that was the initial purpose of emergence of Salafism. His founders were the leading religious figures of the Islamic communities from the different countries which urged to reject all alluvial and to return to the pure belief of ancestors occurring at early stages of development of Muslim community. The term salafiya is translated approximately as precedence, the predecessor. That is, it is possible to call Salafism the simplified, extremely direct option of the Muslim dogmas exempted from the foggy allegorical interpretation of the Quran and the western trends which at different times filtered into the Islamic world. By definition of adherents of this doctrine, they stand up for that option of religion which was initially granted by Prophet Muhammad – it is understood in the light of classical Shiite views and in any way differently. In a sense the Salafism can be treated as orthodox Moslem, the peculiar purism similar with western, but excluding an extremist component. The western researchers use in this regard the term fundamentalism or traditsionalizm.

Basic provisions of the religious doctrine of Salafis:

• faith in the one God;
• the duty of any adherent is to protect purity of the religion;
• denial of all innovations;
• do not accept the idea of a religious pilgrimage;
• following of any political or ideological party is not allowed, emergence of disagreements among Muslims on any questions, except concerning purity of interpretation of the Quran is not allowed.

Whether Salafis are uniform?

Now the Salafism is not a uniform current, in it there is a division into the radicals moderate and true. Besides, there are directions which Salafis call apostatic. They are not alien to the ideas of extremism and often follow ways of a vakhabizm therefore they are considered as identical fractions.

Difference between Salafis and Sunnites

The question how to distinguish Salafis from Sunnites is represented not absolutely correct as the second direction – more general, and the second exists in it. And still some differences between them are. Main consist in interpretation of some parts of the Quran and also in the addressing other sacred book – Sunnah. The general – both directions do not accept terrorism and do not call for active distribution of Moslem on the West but only to its preservation among true adherents of Islam.

Differences of Salafis and Wahhabites

Most of all disputes both among religioved, and among adherents of Moslem raise a question of similarity and difference between Salafis and vakhabita. The second, certainly, are radical fraction which made the religious beliefs means of destructive and bloody fight. First in definition that was not, but recently, in connection with emergence of recreancy in the ranks of Salafis, they began to be united more often with vakhabita. It is not absolutely correct as only a small part of fraction is committed to recreancy. And other followers of Salafism preach exclusively peaceful following to traditional dogmas.
