As insects breathe

As insects breathe

Insects are so not similar to people. Their embryonal development proceeds with transformations, they possess an external, but not internal skeleton, at them systems differ blood and central nervous. Even insects at all not breathe as mammals.

Instruction

1. At a human body there is only one trachea. On it the air which arrived through the upper airways is transported in lungs. Insects have no nose, lungs and bronchial tubes, their blood, unlike blood of mammals, does not carry oxygen on all organism. Insects only by means of tracheas which number in their organism exceeds quantity at mammals breathe and can vary from one-two to eight-ten couples.

2. The respiratory system of insects is presented by a set of tracheas which penetrate their body. Tracheas at insects represent the tubules opening outside mouths-dykhaltsami. In the depth of a body of a trachea branch on smaller tubes – trakheola. Trakheola braid all bodies, delivering oxygen to places of its consumption.

3. For the insects living in the water environment are available a dykhalets of the closed type as they receive oxygen from water, for land insects - a dykhalets of open type. However even the second can regulate their work if necessary. For example, if the land insect gets to water, it will be able some time, having closed a dykhalets, to live without air.

4. Eventually insects developed various devices for increase in efficiency of process of breath. For example, well flying insects have air bags where the oxygen reserve can contain. And some larvae developed at themselves ability to skin breath.
