Ussuriysk, Far East, Amur – these names belong to tiger subspecies which meet in basins of the Ussuri Rivers and Amur, in the South-East of Russia, in Primorsky Krai. The animal lives in a taiga, has an appearance beautiful and graceful and can quite compete on an equal basis with a lion for an honorary title of the king of beasts.
Description of Siberian tiger
Siberian tiger one of the largest representatives of the cat family. It should be noted that in sizes it surpasses even a lion. This giant weighs about 200 kg, reaching in certain cases 250 kg. Length of Siberian tiger is 2.7-3.8 m, growth – 99-106 cm.

Usually 3-4 tiger cubs, absolutely helpless and blind are born. One and a half weeks later at them eyes gradually open, and already through 2 – teeth grow. Little tiger cubs within the first several years keep about mother, being under her protection. Siberian tigers are included in the Red List. It is connected with their small number. For this period there are no more than 450 individuals of this look. Today these animals are under protection.
