1. The most sure method to define a sex of a goose – on existence of a penis in a foul place. It is possible to use this way when gooses are more than one month old. At this age of sexual body male has about a half-centimeter hook appearance in length. It is necessary to have some experience not to be mistaken.
2. For use of this method sit down on a low stool, so that knees were higher. Put a goose on a back across your knees, slightly obliquely. The head and his neck have to be passed under your left hand and adhere an elbow. Wings press to a body, the rump has to be given slightly.
3. Delay a tail of a goose down. To open a foul place, use big and index fingers. The penis at gooses at the age of 3-4 months has an appearance of a spiral curl with indistinct divisions. At gooses a foul place uniform and folded, pink coloring. It is difficult to mix adult ganders with gooses.
4. It is very difficult to define a sex of a goose on appearance, but nevertheless experienced poultry breeders rather precisely define a sex on indirect signs: - young ganders have longer neck, the large head and they are larger than females. It is visible from the first day of life; - the voice at young females is lower, than at males; - adult ganders during descent to water extend a neck parallel to water; - if to disturb herd of adult geese, then ganders lift up the head up, to the sky, and gooses keep it in usual situation.
