Feeding by dry feeds attractively in all respects: saves both time, and money of the owner of a pet. The pet is quickly sated with such forage, and the large volume of a pack allows to spend money for food less often. Nevertheless, the majority of dry feeds are hazardous to health at their constant use.

1. If there is no opportunity to transfer the pet to usual food completely, try to alternate reception of a forage and home-made food. It is better to give a dry feed in the morning when digestion is most active. The animal using a dry feed has to have a continuous access to clear water as dry feeds, inflating in a stomach of a cat or dog, cause strong thirst. As the animal has to eat two-three times a day, it has to carry out the second and third meals "from a master's table" - that is give to the pet for lunch and a dinner what you eat.
2. The second scheme of combination of usual food and dry feed represents mixing of a favourite forage of a pet with normal food in a proportion from ¼ and up to ½ as reduction. Such scheme is applied if the forage medical or just contains useful substances and minerals, and it is still impossible to transfer an animal completely to good nutrition.
3. However if you decided to disaccustom an animal to a dry feed completely, you should work. Dry feeds contain special enhancers of flavor and a smell which quickly cause accustoming in cats and dogs. Therefore it is necessary to mix first a forage with homemade food in the proportion stated above. Slowly reducing the level of a dry feed in mix, you is imperceptible for an animal you will transfer it to a usual food allowance.
4. Many animals can refuse in general flatly other food, except a dry feed in attempt to disaccustom them. You should not starve such cat or a dog including what "will get hungry – all the same will eat that will be given". Try to attract in it interest in normal food in such a way: treat her with something tasty. You feed an animal with the fresh meat which is previously scalded by boiled water or chicken fillet. On such delicacy the pet will precisely be tempted, and then gradually will begin to eat also all the rest.
