Toy terrier — the dog needing special attention. The toy sizes and smooth wool oblige the owner to warm the pet who is not adapted for cold weather.

- — 50 g of yarn (75% wool, 25% nylon, 205 m);
- — 50 g of yarn (100% alpaca, 166 m);
- — 50 g of yarn (94% a mohair, 6% nylon, 49 m) for a binding;
- — four needles (4 mm);
- — four needles (3 mm);
- — hook (6 mm).
Instruction
1. Take measurements: chest, back length (approximate measures for a toy terrier – 28-30 cm and 24 cm). The sweater is carried out by an elastic band therefore the product will well stretch. Connect a sample to determine knitting density: gather on needles of 19 loops, knit 25 rows thread in two additions (from two hanks, wool and the alpaca), the cloth size – 10 by 10 cm.
2. Knit a sweater from a mouth down, gather on four needles (4 mm) of 48 loops, connect by an elastic band 2х2 (two front, two back) 4, 5 cm. Then begin to do additions of loops: add (make nakid) on 1 loop in every second couple back that 54 loops turned out. Continue to knit up to the height of 6 cm, then add on 1 loop in the remained couples back (it will turn out – 60 loops).
3. Continue to knit up to the height of 8 cm an elastic band 2х3 (two front, three back), then close loops of armholes. On needles at this stage there are 60 loops, on 15 on each needle. Close the two first loops on one of needles, translate the remained 13 loops on the holder for loops (pin), then close the first two loops on the following needle and knit the remained 43 loops an elastic band 2х3 (two front, three back).
4. Knit a back (43 loops) an elastic band of 5 more cm, then transfer them on the holder for loops. Transfer 13 loops before to a working needle and knit 5 cm before, then connect before and a back, having added two loops where they were closed.
5. Continue to knit up to the height of product of 19 cm, then begin to carry out decreases: in every second row: two times (at the beginning of the first and third needles) on two loops; two times on one loop, one more row – on two loops and the last – on three loops. Finish a product at the height of 24 cm.
6. Execute shot sleeves, having gathered on needles (3 mm) of 36 loops along edge of an armhole, connect 3 cm by an elastic band 2х2, close front – front, back – back (not to pull together edge), connect the second shot sleeve.
7. Make a binding of a bottom of sleeves and edge of a sweater a hook (6 mm): 1 column without nakid, one air loop, miss 1 cm, then 1 column without nakid, etc.
