The popularity of round aquariums and goldfishes is caused by two major factors – goldfishes are among the most hardy and unpretentious water inhabitants, and round aquariums are in harmony with any interior and are easily cleaned. However, despite such advantages, there are several important rules which concern keeping of fishes in similar tanks.
Features of keeping of goldfishes
Goldfishes are considered as one of the most hardy inhabitants of aquariums. They are capable to maintain quite considerable cooling of water or its heating. It is recommended to equip aquariums with special devices for control of temperature, but goldfishes can change just more often water and to provide the necessary care.
In the habitat the goldfishes are capable to survive even in ice water. They are among the most hardy water beings.
At an aquarium with a goldfish there have to be any water plants. There are enough only several branches. On a bottom of a vessel it is possible to fill gravel or to place decorative balls which will turn a round aquarium into a peculiar designer decoration of the apartment or office. Sand in this case is not recommended to be used. In a round aquarium the small area, and dust can instantly pollute water and make it pernicious for a goldfish. It is very important to provide to the water inhabitant enough light. It is better to put aquariums on well lit places or to use additional devices. Because of lack of sunlight the goldfish can die. You should not contain calculation in one round aquarium several goldfishes. The necessary area should make according to a proportion – 1 cm of length of a body of a small fish on 3 l of water. Otherwise inhabitants of a vessel just will lack oxygen for normal activity.
Features of round aquariumsIt is not recommended to support a goldfish in almost empty aquarium. The fact is that at the minimum quantity of vegetation of a wall of such vessel create effect of a lens. The small fish in such atmosphere will be in constant fear that will lead to serious consequences from a stress.
It is quite often possible to see absolutely empty aquariums with goldfishes. However it is better not to create such conditions to the pet. Vegetation for fishes is an addition to the main forage and a source of vitamins.
In a round aquarium it is necessary to create the most comfortable conditions for its inhabitants. For this purpose you need the small lighting system, the compressor for water purification and the special heater. For round aquariums the special compact equipment which does not take a lot of place and does not spoil appearance of an original vessel is issued. Quite often, for example, it is possible to meet round aquariums with special covers in which all necessary systems are built in.
