Rabbits – some of the animals having well developed nervous system therefore they are subject to stresses. This feature should be considered even when changing a forage which cannot be made sharply.
It is more preferable to support rabbits in cages which should be equipped with drinking bowls, feeding troughs and a day nursery. As a floor it is possible to use rental shelves which have to be exposed to daily cleaning.
Cultivation of rabbits
To breed rabbits, it is necessary to choose one or several views from the existing two hundred or it is more. Each look gets divorced for definite purposes among which: meat, down or fur.
Rabbits reach puberty at the age of 3.5 months, signs of testicles can be found in males at the age of 2.5 months, but it is impossible to allow to reproduction in this period them still. Females can be allowed to reproduction at the age of 5 months, males – 6 months. Different types of rabbits differ in different precocity.
Cultivation, feeding and care for rabbits
It is possible to feed rabbits in 2 ways, one assumes the mixed method, another – dry. The last way provides the granulated full-fledged forage. It is possible to prepare compound feed from meadow hay, grain, a makukha of sunflower, food salt and also limestone. To fatten it is admissible adult individuals and young growth since 3 months. This process takes about one month. Sagination at the initial stage consists in reduction of quantity of rough forages, later it is possible to give to rabbits nutritious forages, it promotes formation of fat. In a diet there has to be a vitamin grass meal made from just slanted lucerne that is a forage basis for these animals. Rabbits have to receive and meadow hay, oats in number of no more than 10% of the general diet and also barley and peas. It is possible to feed rabbits with the bourgeoises prepared from mix of boiled potatoes and bran. Rabbits stop in a set of weight if they are placed on different cages. It is necessary to follow "diet" of rabbits, it will promote at them to full digestion of food. The appetite of rabbits in many respects depends on temperature condition of the room where cages are located. It has to be equal to a limit from +13 to -16 °C. Rabbits need fresh air, however drafts are contraindicated, so, if the window leaf is open, then it is necessary to watch that, air flows did not blow in a rabbit. In the course of airing of the room the cage has to be spread with fabric. It is necessary to watch also humidity of air indoors, it should not be excessively dry, as at central heating. Similar conditions of keeping promote irritation of airways of animals.
