Instruction

1. The tundra fauna owing to the known circumstances is quite poor. It was created during freezing therefore this natural zone is inhabited only by the few ubiquists (species of animal and plants) capable to adapt in various, including quite severe conditions. Foxes, ermines, wolves, crows, caress treat ubiquists of the tundra. Inconstancy of a food supply and heavy climate, however, cause considerable fluctuations of number of these animals.

2. Endemics of the tundra – animal species, whose area of dwelling it is limited to this zone is, of course, a polar bear, a reindeer, a musky bull (he is a musk ox), a polar fox, a lemming. Voles are widespread.

3. Special attention from all listed should be paid to a reindeer. This cultivated animal, however, can still be met also wild deer. Most of all wild reindeers on Taimyr and the North of Yakutia. They can also be met in certain areas of the Arkhangelsk region, Karelia, in Northern Urals, on the Yamal Peninsula. And on New Earth the rare species included in the Red List lives. It should be noted that for the last hundred years the population of reindeers was significantly reduced.

4. It is possible to find rookeries of Pinnipedia and also bird's markets in seashores. From birds gagara, snipes, punochka, white geese, polar owls, white partridges, Sapsans, sandpipers prevail.

5. The tundra – permafrost zone differing in extremely poor vegetation. But also here such birds as tap dances, a belobrovy thrush, horned larks found to themselves the house. In osier-bed thickets along coast of the rivers various singing birdies, for example, of a varakushka meet. Sandy hills are inhabited by plovers. At last, it is necessary to mention "business card" - the Lappish plantain. These birds received the amusing name because, migrating on the South, they keep closer to roads.
