Winter - hard time for all wildlife. Each look escapes in own way: bears fall into hibernation, birds fly away on the South, and some other animals do winter stocks of food.
Winter stocks of a squirrelEven children know that a squirrel - one of the thriftiest small animals. Squirrels begin to stock even in the summer and are engaged in it up to the first cold weather. These animals hide nuts, acorns and mushrooms to secluded places. Winter storeroom of a minkThe mink - a little animal of family marten - also stocks for the winter. But as the mink is a predator, the maintenance of her storeroom is not so harmless, as at a squirrel. This fur small animal reserves a live forage - frogs. Minks bite the production to the area of a congestion of nerves on the head, and frogs remain immobilized. The mink stores frogs in the superficial place at the bottom of the river. Also these animals reserve carcasses of small rodents, birds and fishes, quite often stealing production from networks of fishers.

Live canned food of molesThese little insectivorous animals, despite the sizes, are quite gluttonous. For once the mole can eat the amount of food approximately equal to its own weight. Therefore winter stocks are a necessary condition for survival of moles. These animals do a peculiar live canned food of favourite food - earthworms. Moles, like minks, bite production to the area of the head, having a bite a motive nerve. Motionless, but still live worms belong in the underground camera where are stored throughout hungry winter.

And little small animals need only to observe how their stocks collected hardly perish.
