African ostrich

Despite the impressive sizes and ability to escape from the opponent, some time these birds were under the threat of disappearance because of their meat which is highly appreciated. But thanks to distribution of ostrich's farms the look managed to be kept.
The wandering albatross
And here a champion with the biggest wingspan are the wandering albatross nesting on subantarctic islands. The spread wings of these birds reach in length of three and a half meters. They are long and narrow that is the optimum device for the soaring flight. The wandering albatross is not capable to fly up from the earth. Instead he jumps off from the rock, spreads the huge wings and catches wind streams thanks to which dexterously maneuvres in search of production and can fly by many kilometers, often in the days following fishing vessels.
Black signature stamp
The largest flying bird is the black signature stamp living in Asia, Southern Europe and North Africa. Length of this bird can reach meter, weight – twelve kilograms, wingspan – eighty five centimeters. At a signature stamp the large territory about which it tirelessly flies. This bird is also adapted for the soaring flight. The signature stamp skillfully uses streams of warm air to rise by height necessary to it from where he looks out for production. The black signature stamp eats drop, and in search of livelihood can daily fly on distances to 300-400 kilometers.
