1. The Madagascar hissing cockroaches treat ancient group tarakanoobrazny in which there are about 3500 types. According to estimates of scientists, fossil remains of ancient insects – about 300 million years. The Madagascar hissing cockroaches are allocated in the numerous company with unique ability to hiss.
2. Unlike other insects who make sounds by means of friction of parts of a body or by means of the vibrating membranes the Madagascar hissing cockroaches use a respiratory system, uncharacteristic for fellows. The loud hissing published by them is formed by means of air which exhausts through openings in an armor (stigma). All body of cockroaches is penetrated by the system of the tubules having the different thickness and a set of sections. Through them air also gets in a trunk.
3. Sections of an armor of a cockroach have pair openings through which there is an exhaled air. Insects at approach of the opponent hiss and if desired to draw attention of a female. 6. After fertilization the female of the Madagascar hissing cockroach bears posterity in the special bag similar to a cocoon and called hypostasis. In 2-3 months about 50 white translucent insects with black eyes are born.
7. In the course of growing the little cockroaches fade 5-6 times, dumping at the same time skin is similar to snakes. After 9 months the molt at them stops, and on a body the firm brown armor (exoskeleton) appears. Length of an adult individual is from 6 to 9 cm. There live Madagascar hissing cockroaches from 2 to 5 years.
