Dogs really possess such difficult emotions and feelings as joy, alarm, grief, etc. But whether dogs can cry?

Dogs, as well as at many other animals, have plaintive glands which moisten eyes. Some dogs suffer from a so-called problem of "a dry eye" because of which it seems that the dog cries. Also improper feeding and allergic reaction can be the cause of excessive tearfulness. Often tears flow at those dogs which owners feed them with sweets, smoked products and other "forbidden" food.
Various viruses and infections and also other irritations of an eye promote frequent blinking and development of tears. From outside can really seem that the pet cries with a grief.
