The breed of dog the Mexican naked was removed more than 3000 years ago. According to the most widespread version, this breed for the first time appeared at Aztecs. But there is an opinion that the first ancestors of these doggies arrived in South America from Asia as in Turkey already then there was a similar breed - the hairless dwarfish Turkish borzoi.
The present name of the Mexican dog - ksoloittskuintl (xoloitzcuintle) or ksolo. The first images of this breed are on the frescos and figurines of Aztecs dated 200-900 BC by Ksolo were considered as sacred dogs, representatives of god Xolotl, from here and there is their name. These doggies in the ancient time lived in temples, were considered as a gift of gods and healers. Indians used ksolo as a hot-water bottle at treatment of rheumatism. And even today the xoloitzcuintle is national property in Mexico.
