Paraffinotherapy is one of pleasant procedures for skin care with use of the warmed paraffin and baths from it. Paraffin applique can be done practically on any part of the body, but it is most widespread for care for skin of hands.

Cosmetic paraffin for the procedure can be bought in drugstores or cosmetic shops. Paraffin can be simply cleaned, and may contain aromatic fragrances. Also it is possible to add to paraffin independently several drops of favourite essential oil. The amount of the paraffin necessary for holding procedure on hands has to be not less than 500 grams. Not to burn paraffin, it is necessary to check its temperature. For this purpose it is enough to drip it on the hand back. Paraffin has to warm, but not burn skin. For this purpose hands fall to the kindled paraffin literally for several seconds, are taken out for 10 seconds and again plunge. It is impossible to apply the used paraffin the second time as it has no useful properties any more.
