1. Observe the kid. Usually children with squint have a roving glance, they rub eyes, awkwardly bow on one side. Besides, it is difficult for them to focus a look on a certain object.
2. Light a small lamp to the child in eyes. If reflection in both eyes is located equally – there is no frustration. If reflection differs, so at the kid squint. Sometimes the pictures of the child taken with flash help to reveal frustration.
3. For production of the exact diagnosis visit the ophthalmologist. The doctor will determine from what of the main two types of squint the kid suffers. At the meeting squint one or both eyes look inside. The different direction of one or both eyes is characteristic of dispersing.
